脂肪組織の創傷治癒における骨髄由来幹細胞の関与とその機能を動物実験モデルを使って調べた。脂肪細胞に分化するものはまれであったが、血管内皮細胞とくに毛細血管においては約半数は骨髄由来幹細胞に由来するもので置換されていた。
