Outline of Annual Research Achievements

口腔がんはヒト個性にとってもっとも重要な顎顔面部に発症するため、最小限な侵襲で最大の治療効果を発揮する個別化医療の開発が求められている。最適治療の選択には、時間的・空間的に変化するがん細胞の個性を正確かつ非侵襲的に捉える技術の創出が求められる。血中を循環するCTCsや循環細胞フリーDNA（circulating cell free DNA cfDNA）を利用して、腫瘍細胞の情報を非侵襲的に回収するリキッドバイオプシーが注目を集めている。リキッドバイオプシーは、採血検体を利用するため頻回の検査でも患者に対する負担は少ない。われわれは、口腔がん患者から効率的にCTCsやcfDNAを回収し、次世代シーケンス技術（NGS）を使いゲノム変異を検出する方法の開発をすすめてきた。今回の研究から口腔がん患者を前向きに11症例を登録し、CTCsやcfDNAから回収した微量DNAからNGS技術を駆使してp53やp16の変異を解析できる可能性を示した。
