Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It has been recognized that children born to mothers with psychiatric disorders have some developmental problems. This might partly be due to the abuse and neglect of the children by such mothers which could be socially problematic. In early infancy of such infants, brain function development was evaluated by combination of non-invasive measurements such as NIRS and eye tracking analysis. From this research, there was no correlation between changes in cerebral circulation and the infants born to mothers with psychiatric disorders. Also, there was no differences in object preferences by eye tracking analysis among two groups.
