| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In September HS27, March HS28, and April-September HS28, the Principal Investigator conducted overseas research at UK libraries (the British Library, London, and the Bodleian Library, Oxford). Following the research plan, research for two chapters of a book (Chapters 1 and 3) was conducted. At the same time, the Principal Investigator published research conducted from February-September HS27. Additional publications (beyond the original research plan) included a book of poetry/ and some journalism.

1: Research has progressed more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Because the Principal Investigator was on Research Leave during HS27, substantial progress could be made. Progress on the original plan was favourable. However, due to contacts with other researchers made during research leave in the UK, the Principal Investigator completed two additional research and writing projects supported by this grant. Additional projects included (1) publication of a single-author poetry book; and (2) writing of a book chapter on music and poetry. (Therefore, 3 additional keywords have been added to this project: 'music', 'magic', and 'creative writing'.)

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
The Principal Investigator will continue to publish journal articles, working towards the future publication of a book. Furthermore, the Principal Investigator will not ignore new research directions opened up by collaboration with other researchers. The writing and publication of creative work (formal poetry) on the research subject is demonstrating a strong potential for future publications. In addition, research colleagues are encouraging the Principal Investigator to do further work on an interdisciplinary and intercultural project related to the research area: a project on poetry, music, and magic.

A small amount of funds intended for consumables (books) was not used during AY2015.
