| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In FY2018, this research focused on the expansion of research activities from FY2015-FY2017 in new directions, in response to research results. The research expanded in two directions: (1) The time period investigated by the research expanded from years around the Romantic period (1770 - 1850) to include more work on the seventeenth century. (2) The research included more work on the relationship between scholasticism and naturalism in contemporary British poetry. Achievements during FY2018 included (1) the revising of all six chapters for a proposed monograph (apart from the introduction); (2) the publication of a book of contemporary poetry related to the research topic; and (3) research travel in support of future research on the topic during an expanded time period (1590 - 1838).
