平成30年度は、これまでの研究結果を発表する機会に恵まれた。5月には民主主義および民主化支援の研究者が世界中から一同に会する巨大な国際会議、「World Movement for Democracy Ninth Global Assembly」がセネガルで開催され、これに参加し研究報告を行った。6月には米国で民主化支援を行う全米民主主義基金とスタンフォード大学からそれぞれ専門家を招き、「新興国の台頭と国際秩序の未来」と題するフォーラムを開催した。その際、私自身も登壇し、国際秩序への挑戦に対するアジア各国の反応について研究発表を行った。それ以外にもAnanta Aspen Center（インド、8月）、Research and Information System for Developing Countries（インド、8月）、Brookings India（インド、8月）、全米民主主義基金（米国、12月）、キングス・カレッジ・ロンドン（英国、2月）、トロント大学（カナダ、3月）においても研究報告を行った。
民主化支援とは何かという定義部分についても本科研で研究をさらに進展させることができ、その成果は国際開発学会が編集した『国際開発学事典』における1章として12月に出版した。また、本科研の研究成果をもとに日本、米国、韓国、インド、インドネシアが行う民主化支援の比較研究を行う国際プロジェクトに参画することができ、その成果は平成31年2月に米国のシンクタンクであるCenter for Strategic and International Studiesより『Asianism and Universalism』として共著で出版した。これ以外にも、日本外交におけるリベラル価値1本、およびアジアにおける民主化支援に関する論文1本を執筆し、両者とも現在校正段階にある。
