Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study focuses on the headquarters and overseas subsidiaries of multinational companies (MNCs) that are located in emerging countries, in order to build a model for global talent management using qualitative and quantitative research.
We especially targeted Japanese MNCs. This was because of the lack of studies on Japanese MNCs, as opposed to the number of studies that have focused on American and European MNCs in global talent management research.
In 2015, we conducted a literature review and interview based research to build conceptual model for global talent management. Based on the findings, we focused on the role of RHQs in global talent management in 2016. Then we conducted quantitative research in 2017, and are analyzing the quantitative data.
