Outline of Final Research Achievements |
For this study, in order to grasp the complete picture of the daily lives of Hansen’s disease survivors and provide them with multi-faceted support, total surveys were conducted on survivors of Hansen’s disease and medical staff. In addition, the fieldwork at Hansen's disease sanatoriums were discussed reflectively from the perspective of educational practice. Through active discussions, undergraduate students have become able to acquire multi-dimensional views of the people encountered in the field, and to address the Hansen’s disease problem as a contemporary task.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
