Outline of Annual Research Achievements

バリオン間相互作用を量子色力学(QCD)から直接決定することは、原子核物理学における最重要課題の一つである。特に三体力やハイペロン力は、実験による決定が難しい一方、高密度核物質の状態方程式の決定や中性子星の構造の解明に必要不可欠であり、格子QCDによる第一原理計算が喫緊の課題となっている。本年度は、物理点におけるバリオン間力、特にハイペロン力の決定を推進した。また格子QCDでの計算手法の信頼性問題について、積年の課題に最終的解決を与えた。さらに、格子データにおける部分波の混合に起因する系統誤差について、新しい解析手法を用いることでその抑制を可能とした。
1. 物理点クォーク質量におけるバリオン間力について、核力からハイペロン力まで系統的な計算・解析を行った。特に、NΩ相互作用について全相対距離において引力となっていることを明らかにし、系がユニタリー極限近傍の(準)束縛状態を作ることを見出した。
2. 格子QCDによるバリオン間力計算には、直接法、HAL QCD法という二手法があるが、互いに矛盾する計算結果が報告されていた。昨年度までの研究により、直接法は信頼できない一方、HAL QCD法は信頼できることを示したが、本年度は、直接法の問題の根幹が励起状態の混合にあることを理論的・数値的に明らかにした。さらに正しい計算では二手法の結果が一致することを示し、問題の最終的解決を達成した。
3. 格子計算では回転対称性が破れているため、部分波混合による系統誤差を持つ。これについて、固定した相対距離でも立方体対称性で移らない点があることに注目し、近似的な部分波展開を行うことで系統誤差を抑制する手法を開発した。この研究はその後、宇宙分野で開発されていた、より一般化された部分波展開法の適用へと繋がっている。
