Outline of Annual Research Achievements

オーロラ粒子加速理論をもとにした、磁気圏粒子パラメータとオーロラ電子の対応付けを行った。オーロラ粒子加速理論として、線形関係のKnight理論の他、高速回転によるプラズマ磁気赤道拘束効果[Ray et al., 2009JGR]や数100 keV のオーロラ電子の相対論効果[Cowley, 2006AnnGeo]を考慮した加速域の理論モデルとの対応を比較・評価した。
また、「ひさき」宇宙望遠鏡の木星オーロラ・スペクトルからのオーロラ電子パラメータ導出方法を、解析期間を拡張して解析を行った。特に、2015年1月の衛星イオ火山活動の活性化に伴う変化を調べた。オーロラ電子エネルギーの指標であるH2発光強度比は数ヶ月の期間を通して小さく、短時間増光は非常に大きな電子数フラックス増大を伴うものであった。この結果は、オーロラ電子の起源である磁気圏の数keVのプラズマ増大を示唆する。

ハッブル宇宙望遠鏡で観測された木星オーロラに、H/H2発光強度比を用いたオーロラ電子エネルギーとフラックス評価の解析を適用した。低エネルギー電子に感度があるH/H2発光強度比と、>20 keVのエネルギー電子に感度があるH2発光強度比の相関ははっきりしなかった。エネルギー・フラックス関係式について、エネルギー増大と共にフラックスが減少する特徴が見られた。土星オーロラのエネルギー-フラックス関係式が、低エネルギー(<数 keV)ではエネルギーが増大するとフラックスが減少し、高エネルギー(>数 keV)ではエネルギーが増大するとフラックスが増大することとの相違について、起源となる磁気圏プラズマの温度・密度の違いや、この手法が網羅するエネルギー帯の違いを考察した。

オーロラのH/H2比解析について、木星オーロラへの適用を行い、両惑星の相違から、惑星環境および手法の双方の観点で、理解を深めた。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

H/H2比の木星・土星オーロラ解析および磁気圏波動粒子相互作用効果の評価を行う。今後の推進方策に大きな変更はない。
