Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have performed a full particle simulation to study the generation mechanism of whistler-mode hiss emissions in the Earth's plasmasphere. In the simulation, hiss emissions with a broad frequency band below the electron gyrofrequency are excited through wave-particle interactions. We found the wave growth process involving a nonlinear wave growth.
