Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study focuses on the cities and architecture of Venice from the end of the 16th century to the beginning of the 17th century, which has received little attention so far. In particular, I focused on public construction projects, and researched on discussions in the process. As a result, it became clear that the confrontation between the nobility known as the “giovani” and the “vecchi”, which had been realizing in Venice at that time, appeared in San Marco Square, the the Rialto area, and the like.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
