Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の目的は高鉄・コバルト濃度Fe-Co-Si-B-P-Cu合金において、高飽和磁束密度と低保磁力(Hc<10A/m)の両立可能なナノ結晶軟磁性材料の組成を確立し、磁歪の評価を行うことである。また、シミュレーションにより、アモルファスやナノ結晶合金にシリコンの添加効果についても調査を行った。
平成29 年度は、主にFe-Co-Si-B-P-Cu系合金を用いて調査を行った。現在の液体急冷作製技術の急冷速度の制限により、鉄とコバルト元素総濃度を86.3 at.%より増加させた場合、優れた軟磁気特性を維持することは難しいと考えられ、大きな結晶粒が存在しないヘテロアモルファスの薄帯状合金試料の最適組成はFe81.3Co4Si0.5B9.5P4Cu0.7であった。また、コバルト元素を0~70%(at.%)に鉄元素と置換した際の、磁歪の調査も行った。その結果、鉄とコバルトの原子比例は1:1の時、磁歪は大きく得られ30ppmであり、コバルトを添加しない場合には、磁歪が小さくなり、12ppmであった。
さらに、鉄基アモルファスやナノ結晶合金の作製と磁気性能に及ぼすシリコン添加効果について、第一原理の分子動力学シミュレーションにより調査を行った。シリコンは、鉄に固溶した状態で結晶化することが構造的に好ましいが、高濃度に達するとアモルファスを安定化するためにエネルギー的に有益であるため、アモルファス構造の形成に複雑な影響を有することが見出されている。シリコンの含有はまた、結晶化温度の上昇を引き起こし、より優れた軟磁気特性を発現するためのナノ結晶化プロセスに対し、より良好な制御性を生じさせることが見出される。磁気特性については、シリコンは常に鉄基合金の飽和磁化を減少させるものと考えられるが、間接的に鉄基ナノ結晶合金の保磁力の減少に寄与すると考えられる。
