Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I explored the backgrounds, structures and realities of two aboriginal self-governments, Nisga'a government and Nunavut territory. Nisga'a final agreement and Nunavut land claims agreement have schemes of self-governance by their own laws. But Nisga'a nation and Inuit have faced on much difficulties to realize it. Inuit and Nisga'a have common problem to overcome. It is difference between indigenous law and common law. I have to study legal pluralism to provide a basic theory to achieve self-governance.
