Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では,変動環境下に適用可能な,砕波帯・陸棚・外洋をシームレスに接続する海洋モデリング技術開発を行う.これらの技術に基づく統合型沿岸環境予測システムでは,地球規模環境シグナルを厳密に考慮しつつ,人間活動や海洋生態系にとって重要な役割を果たす沿岸域における精緻な解析,海流,波浪,河川,潮汐,風応力等の浅海物理学に求められる全ての要素を包含した流動環境,それに伴う栄養塩等の溶存物質,土砂や生物幼稚子等の懸濁質分散・循環の統一的な動態解析などが可能となる.さらに,海洋学において最先端の話題となっている海洋表層混合やそれに伴う気候変動モデルに対する波浪の影響について,サブメソスケール現象を取り上げ,それらの定量的性質や発生機構に踏み込んだ数値解析を行うことを目指している. 2017年9月までの長期渡航のあとも継続して国際共同研究を推進し,2018年度は開発中のマルチスケールモデルの完成に向けた要素技術開発を行い,波浪影響下の状況を含む複数の高解像度海洋再解析に取り組んだ.まず,和歌山田辺湾において台風期を含む夏季から秋季にADCP等の長期係留観測を行い,強風・高波浪下における海面での運動量および乱流エネルギー輸送などについて検討した.また,南カリフォルニア湾を対象に波-流れ相互作用を考慮したスペクトル波浪モデルによる長期再解析を行い,海流による波浪変調機構についての解析を行った.さらに,湧昇フロントに発生するSCSsに対する波浪の影響に関する解析,砕波帯に発生する3次元渦の発生発達過程に関する解析,サブメソスケール乱流拡散が福島第一原発を放出源とする放射性核種の海洋分散に及ぼす影響の解析,黒潮およびそれに伴う海洋渦がサンゴ礁生態系ネットワークの形成に及ぼす影響の解析,内湾域における下水道処理水の海洋分散と隣接するノリ養殖上への影響評価などを行った.
