Research Abstract

高温磁化不均一プラズマの乱流と構造形成の機構を、理論・シミュレーション・実験を統合して研究した。乱流と構造形成の非線形統計理論、大域的非線形シミュレーション、帯状流やストリーマー・帯状磁場などメゾスケール非線形構造の観測、揺動間の非線形相互作用の定量的に観測などにも成功し、プラズマ乱流物理学の新展開をもたらした。核融合研究や自然界のプラズマも含み、乱流プラズマの総合的理解に大きく寄与した。
