Research Abstract

齋藤は、前年度計算した電子格子相互作用をそのほかのフォノンモードに適用し、金属ナノチューブのRBMと呼ばれるフォノンモードが半径と螺旋度に依存してソフト化(コーン異常)したりしないことを見出し、共同研究者のラマン分光の実験によって確認した。また、この電子格子相互作用が、グラフェンリボンと呼ばれる準1次元物質の端の原子において大きくなることを見出した。これは端の原子に局在するフォノンモードと関連性があることを見出した。佐々木は、分子性モット絶縁体へのエックス線照射により、分子欠陥に誘起された局所的な電荷移動不均一による実効的なキャリアドープ効果を赤外分光実験により実証した。また、これを応用した局所的エックス線照射によるモット絶縁体上への伝導パターン描画に成功した。岩佐は、層状超伝導体(LixZrNXl, LixHfNCl)の比熱、磁化率のキャリヤ数依存性の測定から、キャリヤ数が減少しバンド絶縁体に近づくと、磁気揺らぎが増強され、Tcが上昇するという異常な振る舞いを示すことを明らかにした。また、このZrNCl単結晶を用いて電界誘起超伝導を観測した。福山は2x2 massless Dirac電子とみなされる分子性結晶α-ET213及びスピン軌道相互作用が強く4x4 Dirac電子とみなされるビスマス結晶を念頭に、永年問題となっていた磁場によって誘起される「平衡状態での電流」と「非平衡状態での電流」の関係を「軌道磁性」と「ホール効果」を通して調べ「磁場のバンド間成分」の重要性を明らかにした。さらに、「p-d系」の多様性を強調し「生物物質科学」へ展開する具体的な研究対象を指摘した。
