| Research Abstract |
2007年度の研究結果のうち、特にサケとスケソウとイカについて述べたい。これらの冷水性魚類が地球温暖化に伴って生育場所や産卵場所をどのように変化させるか、については基盤研究Sで2000年度から行ってきた。海洋年齢4才のサケは1990年代まで体重が減少しているが、90年後半になってからは一転して増加している。ボックスモデルを用いた生物エネルギーモデル+NEMUROによる解析でもその傾向を表すことができ(亀澤他,2007)この成長の差は冬季に過ごすアラスカ湾の環境の差によることが指摘されている。IPCC-A1Bのシナリオによる地球フロンティア研究センター(FRCGC)の予測データを用いて行った予想では、2050年には北海道のシロザケの回遊経路上の水温が温暖化によって適水温を超すこと、2100年には資源が絶滅することが考えられる。同様にFRCGCによる温暖化予測データをもとにスケソウの予測を行った。現在、すでに減少傾向にある三陸沖、ならびに日本海北部では2050年には資源が激減する。そして2100年には北海道太平洋ならびにオホーツク海側の資源以外は絶滅する可能性が高いことが予想される。スルメイカは産卵期がずれて、現在10月から2月の産卵期が、2050年には11月から4月まで、2100年には12月から5月までが産卵期となることが予想され、いずれは秋生まれから春生まれの区別がなくなり産卵場が東シナ海に限られるようになると予想される。以上は、水温変化による生息域の変化、産卵海域の変化、による予測であって、餌の分布や組成の変化は考慮していない。
