| Research Abstract |
>1. The authors called the meeting of the Eto Shimpei Study Group four times (May 28th, August 26th, August 27th, November 26th in 2006, March 4th in 2007) at the Saga Prefectural Library and continued the deciphering and analysis of the letters addressed to Eto in the library's archives.
>2. Of the Eto Shimpei papers at the Saga Castle History Museum (donated by Mr. Eto Shigekuni) the authors took pictures of the approximately 90 documents that were yet unknown to researchers.
>3. Deciphering of the Eto papers owned by Mr. Kawanami Kiyomi, which the authors conducted every Saturday for the past year with graduate students, is almost complete. Deciphering of the Eto papers owned by an anonymous collaborator continues.
>4. Deciphering of the Eto papers owned by Ms. Maki Naoko, which the authors conducted every Thursday morning, is complete ; the result is published in the volume 7, number 2 of "Waseda Studies in Social Sciences."
>5. "The General Catalogue of Eto Shimpei Papers" is complete ; the catalogue is reprinted in this report collection.
