| Research Abstract |
In 2004th year, we examined the four subjects about the concept on empowerment of persons with disabilities. These subjects were, "a consideration about the meaning of the initiative of persons with disabilities", "community development for independent living of persons with disabilities", "a consideration about the idea of community living of persons with disabilities" and "the study on the stigma retarding the empowerment of persons with mental disorder". We also examined the subjects by the feasible study. These subjects were, "the new role of the institutions of persons with intellectual disabilities in the community" and "the formulation of services supporting for persons with mental disorder in the community".
The 2005th year and the 2006th year, we examined the four subjects about the concept on empowerment of persons with disabilities. These subjects were, "a consideration about the support to strengthen empowerment of persons with disabilities", "the empowerment practice to persons with severely intellectual disabilities in Sweden", "the discussion on mental disorder as social narrative". We also examined the subjects by the survey. These subjects were, "the role of the self-help group of persons with mental disorder to strengthen empowerment", "the study on the stigma retarding empowerment of persons with mental disorder", "the needs and problems about the independent living of women with physical disabilities", "the development of support system for community living of persons with disabilities and the elderly in Okinawa prefecture".
It was examined about the arrangement of the idea on empowerment of persons with disabilities in the community through these theory research and survey.
