Research Abstract

In this study, we have developed education systems for classical ballet and golf swing using a motion capture device and multiple cameras which take human body motion. And also, we have developed a 3-D environment construction and interaction system. By using these systems, We studied an efficient education method to use Web 3-D educational materials.
First, we developed the system which gererated choreography for ballet lessons automatically by using 3DCG. It helps ballet teachers to create choreography in addion to assist students to learn it independently. With a golf swing education system, teacher's good example motion is projected onto the mirror screen with student's image in order to correct his wrong swing form.
Secondly, an interactive design system was developed which could lay out virtual space including the human body. We confirmed that it could lay out 3D space effectively for an actual exhibition show. In addition, we carried out development of software to cut an elastic object in virtual space in a near sense to actual felling.
In the third result, we made fundamental examination to teach the Web teaching materials effectively from various viewpoints. Simplification and Unification of a graphic program code was examined in order to express virtual human body efficiently. A new navigation system was also developed to assist using Web education materials. We also studied blended learning approach to this research project.
