| Research Abstract |
The technological gap concerning information system development between higher educational organizations such as universities and industries is increasing gradually. It is necessary to improve this problem as fast as possible for further advancement of the information society in near future. In addition, two or more computers are generally required for the construction of the information system development environment, and advanced knowledge of the computer and network configuration is also prerequisite. However, it is very difficult and time consuming job for learners to construct and configure system development environment by themselves. In this research, it has aimed to overcome these difficulties by using virtual machines running under the host operating system in which accomplished the rapid progress in recent years. To support the construction of the system development environment, virtual machines are constructed beforehand and stored in the mass storage device accessible on the network. Mass mobile storages are occasionally used to support a rapid construction of learning environment. Using these preconfigured virtual machines, learners are able to construct the desired systems development environment speedily for practical learning. Some teaching practices have already been done in a large class and further results in the future are also expected.
