1. The individualities of Akinari's waka in his later years was clarified by comparing the complete manuscripts of Maigetsu-shu that was newly found out with the fragmentary documents of same work known from the former.
2. Concerning kyoka, all the manuscripts and many version books of Kaido-kyoka-awase were investigated, and the order of formation of many drafts of Kaido-kyoka-awase was clarified.
3. Akinari associated with the haikai group of urbanity (especially ONO Shoren and his pupils) closely in younger days. Moreover, he associated with Buson and his pupils deeply, and they had become the cause for Akinari to start work of haikai or waka added to the pictures at the middle years.

5. Concerning the biography, Akinari's letters were collected and examined in detail. And many facts were able to be added to a biographical sketch. Moreover, two letters addressed to YAMAGUCHI Soken at maximum later years of Akinari were newly discovered, and the reason of his moving house late in life became clear.
