| Research Abstract |
(西岡2005)では,「常平倉ノ法」に関して,これが物価安定化に資するとともに,経済変動を制御するものと位置づけた太宰春台『経済録』を中心にそれらの意義を取り上げた.この政策手段の導入は,たんに経済的意義だけにとどまるものではない.それは,「人情」と公共利益の「政」との間に生じるディレンマが私的利益の最適化行動と「公共」の利益との乖離として把握され,これが外部性として認識されることを意味した.
春台による「経済」学における制度化は,「常平倉ノ法」の導入によるルール化によってこれらの矛盾をインセンティブ設計から解消し,これによって協調行動を促して「利用厚生ノ道」に沿った,非協調的な「利」抑制しうる「治安」を重視するフレームワークを構築するという経済社会全体のテーマと厚生的「経済」の思想の課題を明らかにした.
(NISHIOKA 2005)では,"Japan introduced the study of economics, which was urgently needed in order to modernize its military affairs, politics and industry. Alfred Marshall's economics, dealing with advanced economic systems, was uniformly accepted as part of this modernization scheme."の叙述からわかるように,アルフレッド・マーシャルに関する国際的再評価の流れの中で,日本の動向と役割について論じたものであるが,本研究における意義と日本の経済思想の観点からは,"It could be said that the revival of Marshallian studies on these themes was deeply rooted in Japan's traditional economic thought, which emphasized industry and "The way to public welfare"("the Keisei-ron")."点についてその特徴ととらえ,それゆえ,日本の経済思想のこのような伝統ゆえに,"Some current studies attempt to appraise Marshall's contribution to the theory of international trade in relation to the leadership of British industry and the tariff reform controversy. These analyses, however, have not shed any new light on issues other than the shift of the open-macro characteristics from Marshall to Keynes."として位置づけることが可能であったと論じた.
