Research Abstract |
A main purpose of this study is to develop trial of the Life Space Interview (LSI) technique and an education training program. First, we compiled the significance and the directionality of the LSI in social work practice, social work education and social policy. Second, we carried out the LSI training for welfare commissioner(Minsei Iin) and child commissioner(Jido Iin), life support worker for right protection at the community-based welfare, Home helper and Certified Social Worker and got their evaluation. We confirmed a high educational effect about understanding of the significance to intentionally utilize the LSI technique by using the "LSI worksheet". It was based on "a system of the LSI technique" and we extracted and arranged the LSI technique for 46 items. Third, we carried out questionary survey. I asked the questionary survey to social workers belonging to home care support center and home helpers belonging to home help agencies. We asked them enforcement frequency of 46 items about each of "An example that went well" and "An example of the regret left". As a result, the LSI technique is being used a lot in the former than the latter. It suggests the effectiveness of the LSI technique.
