Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to examine about the influence that the anger of teacher exerts on child's maladjustment behavior. First, "the Anger Scale for Teacher" was developed. Subjects were 392 teachers of elementary school and 257 teachers of junior high school. The results were as follows. (1)The cause which produces teacher's anger emotion can be explained with three factors(Children's speech and action, Colleague's speech and action, Hard work). (2)A schoolmarm's anger level is higher in case of elementary school teachers. (3)An anger level is rising with getting old gradually in case of junior high school teachers. (4)The teacher whose anger level is high feels the bad condition of mind and body. Next, the anger level of 222 Danish teachers was compared with the anger level of 649 Japanese teachers. As the result, it found that Japanese teacher was easy to get angry in comparison with Danish teacher. Moreover, "the Anger Coping Scale for Teacher" which consisted of six sub-scales (Consultation, Attack to children, Relax, Oppression, Attack to family, Solution of problems by oneself) was developed, and it became clear that the teacher whose anger level is high comes to attack more to children and family. Finally, time series survey was carried out for six classes (197 junior high school students) to examine the effect of anger of homeroom teacher on child's maladjustment behavior. The results were as follows. (1)When a homeroom teacher got angry easily, children fell easily for the school maladjustment. (2)The children in the class of homeroom teacher who restrains anger emotion inside have the mistrust for homeroom teacher and feeling of un-satisfaction. (3)Bullying happens easily in the class of homeroom teacher who gets rid of anger emotion outside.
