| Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to develop a suicide prevention program for college student by using information technology. To achieve it we investigated three items. (1) What educational program would be appropriate to prevent suicide? (2)What strategy can be designed to find any suicidal students as soon as possible? (3)What support can be produced for all suicidal students?
This prevention program was intended for collage students, personnel and parent. It was contained the facts of adolescent suicide, present day problems many adolescent face and the suicidal factors as primary prevention. We showed collage students some concrete examples to suggest them to urge some help-seeking behavior as second prevention. We showed how personnel and parent might intervene properly to reduce the suicide risk at that stage. As postvention we offered many kinds of support for suicide attempted students and information to prevent recurrence. We also informed the message for those close to completed suicide student to relieve their impact.
