Research Abstract |
We have studied for mechanism of signal transduction for metastasis and invasion of pancreatic cancer. We used four pancreatic cancer cell lines for our study. We report the results that we acquired till now as fellows. 1.All four pancreatic cancer cell lines expressed c-jun mRNA and c-Jun protein. 2.Four pancreatic cancer cell lines had different activities of activator protein-1(AP-1). We suggest that there is a connection between activation of activator protein-1 and hepatic metastasis of pancreatic cancer. 3.MT-21 that activate AP-1 inhibited growth and invasive ability of pancreatic cancer cell lines in dose dependent. 4.We did not show the relationship between the metastatic and invasive activity, and the expression of AP-1 protein on surgical specimens. In the future, we will try to make clear the relationship between pancreatic cancer and AP-1 furthermore.
