Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
1) Study of the Weyl anomaly in generalised supergravity theories. We have been able to generalise the Fradkin-Tseytlin term to cancel the Weyl anomaly. We have also found a direct relation between such theory and a gauged 9-dimensional supergravity. 2) Study of the brane spectrum that provide a full list of exotic branes in type II string theory or M-theory compactified to three or higher dimensions. We show how to systematically obtain backgrounds of exotic domain-wall branes and space-filling branes as solutions of the double field theory or the exceptional field theory. 3) Study of the continuous Multiscale Entanglement Renormalization Ansatz (cMERA) for interacting field theories. In particular, we have given a prescription for lambda phi^4 interaction based on non-linear canonical transformations of the fields and conjugate momenta This formulation enables us to capture some non-perturbative effects of the theories. 4) Study of he form of the scalar potentials arising from type IIA compactifications with one single O6-plane down to D=6 in terms of the geometric moduli from dimensional reduction. Secondly, by means of group theoretical arguments, we derive the dictionary between embedding tensor deformations of (massive) type IIA supergravity in 6D.
