Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2017年5月2日～6日にロシア極東、ヴラヂヴォストークで開かれた第3回国際ユーラシア草原中世考古学会議に研究代表者の林が参加し、Fire-steels in Mediaeval Eastern Eurasiaもタイトルで研究発表した。
7月8日～9日に金沢大学で開かれた第24回ヘレニズム～イスラーム考古学研究会に研究代表者の林と分担者のSzmoniewskiがともに参加し、林は「近世・近代中央アジア・西アジアの火打金」、Szmoniewskiは「The Byzantine Coins from Asia (400-700 AD)」のタイトルで研究発表した。また研究会参加者と意見交換を行なった。
9月23日、林は東洋文庫の兼任研究員でもあるが、Szmoniewskiが東洋文庫の蔵書を閲覧したい旨を伝えてきたので、東洋文庫に同道し、閲覧手続きを手伝った。
11月25日、愛媛大学で開かれた第10回東アジア古代鉄文化研究センター国際学術シンポジウム「文明と金属器―普及とその過程」―」に代表者、分担者、ともに参加し、発表にコメントをし、意見交換を行なった。
2018年1月25日、東洋文庫で開かれた内陸アジア出土文献研究会において、分担者が「From the land of Treasures (拂菻) to the Land of the Dragon: Late Roman/Early Byzantine Finds from Eastern Asia and Beyond (4th-8th Century AD)」というタイトルで研究発表。代表者も参加。出席者と質疑応答があった。同内容の発表を1月27日に横浜ユーラシア文化館で開かれた草原考古研究会においても行い、出席者と質疑応答があった。

Reason

国内外の多くの研究会・学会に積極的に参加し、研究発表を行なってきた。そのさい、出席した研究者と有意義に意見交換を行なうことができ、またコメントをもらうこともできた。代表者と分担者は、研究の成果を学術普及誌『アジア遊学』の草原考古学特集に3月末日に投稿した。今夏までに刊行される予定である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今年度も多くの研究会・学会に参加し（6月に韓国慶州で「シルクロード学会」、7月に金沢大学で「ヘレニズム～イスラーム考古学研究会」、同じく7月に長野県野尻湖で「日本アルタイ学会」、8月にキルギス・ビシケクで「国際アルタイ学会議」、10月にトルコ・アンカラで「トルコ歴史学会議」）研究発表を行なうとともに、内外の研究者との交流を深め、日本におけるシルクr-土建急の水準の高さを示してゆく。
