Outline of Annual Research Achievements

・LAMOSTによる探査で検出された金属欠乏星候補をすばる望遠鏡を用いて高分散分光観測し、初代星のつくった化学組成をとどめているとみられる炭素過剰星の組成を詳細に決定し、起源天体の質量を25太陽質量程度と推定した。またα元素が相対的に少なくr過程元素が過剰な天体を同定し、矮小銀河が比較的進化の進んだ後に天の川銀河に合体した証拠を得ることに成功した。
・構築してきた金属欠乏星データベースに、新たに公表された位置天文衛星ガイアのデータを取り込み、星の銀河系内の位置や軌道運動の情報を化学組成と合わせて取り扱うことを可能にした。
・初代星の重力崩壊型超新星における元素合成とデータベース化された金属欠乏星の組成を比較し、初代星の初期質量関数は25太陽質量程度にピークを持つという、初代星形成シミュレーションの結果とも一致する結果を得た。また、超新星元素合成モデルと準解析的初代星形成モデルを用い、第二世代星を選び出すために有用な元素組成比を提案した。一方、重力波の起源である重いブラックホールの親星候補として80~140太陽質量の初代星の大規模脈動段階の進化計算を行い、これらの星は炭素・酸素のコアの一部をも放出した後に崩壊して50太陽質量までのブラックホールを形成し、超高輝度超新星になることを示した。
・AGB段階での組成変化を考慮した低金属中質量星の進化計算を行い、形成されるダスト量の初期質量・金属量依存性を明らかにした。また中小質量星の赤色巨星段階以降の進化において磁気駆動星風が持続的に起き、それによりダストが形成され星風が駆動されることを示した。
・金属欠乏の環境でのs-過程元素合成理論と炭素過剰星の組成の金属量依存性から導いた連星形成史への制約などから、星形成へのダストの影響は低金属量でも現れるが、小質量星は主に連星系で形成され、全体として初期質量関数は大質量中心のままとなることを示した。
