Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We found several novel transition-metal oxides with new functional properties by high-pressure synthesis, epitaxial thin film growth, and topochemical reactions. In a few oxides containing unusually high valence Fe and Co cations, properties such as magnetism, electrical conductivity, and oxide-ion diffusion, were controlled by modifying their cation arrangements and oxygen coordination.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
