Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度の目的は、これまでに収集した学習ビッグデータを解析(LA:Learning Analytics)し、教材について改善するパターンを抽出すること及びその成果を国内外の会議に投稿し発表することである。本年度はすでに収集したデータを整理し、相関分析を行った結果、クラスタリング用の各要素と成績には影響度の違いがあることを発見した。ちなみに、違う学習行動が学習成績に違う影響を与えるということである。そこで、要素にウェイトをつけた。学習者をグループ分けし、それぞれのグループ間の差を数値で見ることで、グループ毎の学習性向、成績の違いを客観的に分析した。そこで、「メモ」、「マーカー」の使用による効率化、デバイスの違いによるそれぞれの使い方であることがわかった。それらの分析結果は教材や電子教材閲覧システムの改善に利用可能であることが示されました。また、システムに残された2年間の学習行動ログを用いて、行動系列分析を行い、学習行為間の行動系列という潜在的な情報を分析しました。2年間の結果を比べて、いくつの共通の行動系列がよく見られました。それらの分析結果は教材や電子教材閲覧システムの改善に利用可能であることが示されました。実際に開発した教材システムを授業で使ってもらって、評価を行うことになりました。それ以外もログデータを用いて、クイズ自動生成システムを開発しました。

Reason

データを収集するための電子教材システムDITeLを機能拡張や、すでにある問題の改善を行いました。現在は、共同研究者の授業にDITeLシステムを導入し、約30万件のレコードを収集できました。大量に蓄積されたデータから、データマイニングを行い、いくつの学習パターンを発見しました。教材改善システムに改善に利用可能であることが示されました。その研究成果として、多くの研究論文を発表した。更に、国際共同研究も結ぶことができました。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

継続的にデータ収集の基盤システムを改善します。いままでの分析で得られた結果を生かして、新たな機能を開発する予定です。開発したシステムを評価する予定です。収集したデータを研究分析し、国内外の国際会議に投稿し、発表します。更に、ジャナールの論文投稿も行う予定です。
