Outline of Final Research Achievements

The factors that comprised a cluster and the state of inter-organizational networks will differ depending on the nature of the product, but incremental innovation that produces refined high-end products appears to be essential for the continued growth. open innovation was found to be essential for product improvement in industrial clusters, and the fact was that business producers contribute profoundly to the construction of that mechanism. By maintaining a balance between an arrangement that ensures competition and cooperation that aims to be of benefit to the whole cluster through this kind of leadership, incremental innovation mechanisms will operate toward product improvement, leading to the sustainable development of an industrial cluster.

本研究の意義は、製品と技術のパターンの差異を考慮しつつ、最先端と伝統的産業クラスターに通底するビジネス・システムを捉えようとした点にあり、その中で特にビジネス・プロデューサーの存在、機能の重要性を解明することができた。産業クラスターにおける製品高度化のためには、オープン・イノベーションが不可欠であり、そのメカニズム構築にビジネス・プロデューサーが深く関与している。そして個の自律と協調こそが産業の持続的発展に必要なメカニズムであることを示唆することで、実務界にも貢献することができた。
