Outline of Annual Research Achievements

植物種子へのプラズマ照射による成長促進効果の世代間伝搬の機構を解明して、プラズマ照射によるエピジェネティック過程の制御についての基礎学理を構築することを目的とする本研究では、（１）プラズマ照射による成長促進効果の世代間伝搬の主要因解明。（２）プラズマから生体への分子輸送機構解明。（３）成長促進が生じる植物の種類の拡大について、4年間で研究する。令和元年度は、以下の成果を得た。
項目（１）および（２）について、カイワレ種子を用いてプラズマ照射後のホルモン産生量に対する発芽と初期成長特性の相関を明らかにした。プラズマ照射によりホルモンバランスが変動し、これに対応して発芽・初期生長特性を示すことを明らかにした。加えて種子内ホルモンバランスが照射後の日数に依存することを示した。これらは、植物に対するプラズマ照射における照射効果の再現性向上の重要要因となると考えられる。加えて高温障害をもつイネ種子に対してプラズマ照射を行い、発芽特性が改善することを明らかにした。プラズマ照射による発芽特性の改善と発芽に関連する遺伝子発現変動を解析したところ、 α-アミラーゼの発現遺伝子であるOsAmy1Cの発現に強い変動がみられるものの、その上流に位置する転写因子としてのOsGAambの発現に有意な差は見られなかった。この結果は、OsGAamb以外例えば、プラズマ照射によるエピジェネティクス領域の変動の可能性を示唆するものである。
項目（３）について、ヒマワリの種子に対してプラズマ照射効果を調べた。前項と同様に種子内ホルモンバランスと発芽・生長特性に相関がみられた。本研究により、分子動態の観点からプラズマ照射効果のばらつきなどの原因に迫るヒントを得るとともにエピジェネティクス領域へプラズマがアクセス可能であることを示唆する結果を得た。今後試行を繰り返し精度を上げていく必要がある。
