Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2018年度以降に科研費メンバーを集めた研究連絡会を3回開いた他に、研究代表者を中心にして2週間のミニ滞在型国際会議と小規模な国際会議を何れも京大基研で開催して、情報連絡を行った。
研究代表者、分担者の原著出版論文は印刷中を含めて16篇であり、投稿中のプレプリントは11篇にも及ぶ。この多数のプレプリントは、プロセスで揉めている論文が多い事もあるが、研究成果がまとまりつつある段階にあると考えても良い。また印刷中を含めた出版論文のうち3篇は高インパクトファクターのPhysical Review Lettersである点は特筆すべきである。また解説論文3篇は広く研究成果を世に問うのに役立っていると自負している。
褒章関係では代表者の早川がPTEP特別表彰を受けた事と、分担者の川崎が凝縮系科学賞を受けた事及び分担者の大槻と早川の研究が2018年流体力学会で注目論文に選ばれた事は特筆すべきであろう。また早川の研究室OBの佐野友彦が物理学会若手奨励賞に輝いた事及び、分担者の大槻が阪大准教授に昇進し、分担者ではないが毎回研究連絡会に参加している早川研究室OBの高田智史が東京農工大のテニュアトラック准教授になった点は本研究成果の一環として記載して良いだろう。
主な研究成果として(1)非ガウスノイズに駆動されたアクティブマター多体系の有効引力、(2)非ブラウニアンサスペンションのジャミング点近傍での粘性率の発散理論、(3)振動剪断粒子系のシミュレーションによるシアジャミング、フラジャイル状態の特定、(4)振動粉体層の砂山形成, (5)粉体レオロジーの非局所理論の進展、(6)粉体乱流と雪崩による塑性流動の関係等である。その他、固定ターゲットに粒子流を当てた際の抵抗や後背流、粉体中で球形粒子が動く際に働く抵抗力の研究等にも成果があった。

Reason

研究概要に記載した通り、特にプレプリント段階の研究成果が多く出ており、概ね順調に進展していると言える。しかし、そのうちの幾つかは投稿後の審査段階で揉めた結果であり、特に研究代表者の出版論文が少なかったのは残念であった。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

これまでに引き続き本研究計画の最終年度である本年度にまとまった成果が出るように邁進する。研究連絡会は既に5月に行ったものを含めて9月ともう一回の3回程度行う予定である。研究計画申請時には最終年度に国際会議を行う予定であったが、研究代表者を中心に2020年度に内外の一流の研究者を集めた5週間の国際滞在型研究を開催することが決まったので、その準備を行う必要がある。
研究内容については、剪断下の2体相関の異方性の理論の構築と接触点の角度分布との関係を確立する事が急務である。その他、非ガウスゆらぎとトポロジーの関係にも注目して理論の構築を急いでいる。
