Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題では,複雑な量子状態である強相関電子状態や電子共鳴状態を精密に記述する新しい基礎理論の開発を行い,ナノ・バイオ系,とくに不均一系触媒や光機能分子系の微視的メカニズムを電子状態理論によって解明し,その知見に基づいて,新しいナノ・バイオ系の量子システムの設計・制御することを目的としている。H30年度は,実施計画で挙げた研究課題について下記の研究成果を得た。
1.凝縮相Au-Pd微粒子触媒について,構造・電子状態・界面ダイナミクスに関するこれまでの理論研究をまとめて総説を発表した。2.大規模系強相関理論の開発と応用では,カルボン酸とアミンからアミド化合物を合成する反応について,周期的DFT法を用いてアルミナ・チタニア・ニオビア表面における触媒活性を解析した。その結果,触媒活性は伝導バンドのd-バンド中心や基質と活性点の軌道混成と相関しており,これらの要因によって,ニオビア表面が特に触媒活性が高いことを見出した。3.大規模系電子共鳴状態の理論開発では,分子クラスターの共鳴状態における分子間相互作用の効果を検討した。とくにメタン,エタン,水分子とエチレンの共鳴状態との相互作用について詳細に検討した。ここで得られた知見に基づいて,本理論の分子集合系や凝縮系への展開を行った。4.化学反応における極限的圧力効果の研究では,系統的な研究を行い,励起状態と化学反応における圧力効果の基礎的知見を得ることができた。5.電子移動励起の化学指標の研究では,細胞内の複数のRNAを同時計測可能なECHOプローブの蛍光色素の基礎的光物性を理論計算を用いて調査した。複数のH会合体の局所安定構造を求めて光吸収・発光を検討し,強い蛍光発光は単量体に起因し,発光の抑制がH会合体形成に基づくという機構を明確に示した。蛍光色素間のストークスシフトは理論計算で定量的に解析することに成功した。
