Outline of Annual Research Achievements

昨年度までにカーボンナノチューブやグラフェンを対象として、それらナノ材料の熱伝導率を計測する際に障害となる接触熱抵抗やレーザー吸収率の問題を回避可能な「レーザーフラッシュラマン分光法」の開発を行って良好な結果を得た。今年度はそれをさらに発展させて、異なる2次元材料を積層させた状態での熱輸送特性を調べることができるように、レーザーを2個に増やした同手法の開発に着手した。新規低次元ナノ材料の研究に関しては、親水化したカーボンナノチューブの内部にある水が真空にさらされても一部は蒸発せず、さらに数ナノメートルという厚さの膜でも破断せずに安定に存在することを見出したことに続いて、今年度は、撥水のままのカーボンナノチューブの内部に水を充填させる手法を開発するとともにその内部の水の形状を透過電子顕微鏡で詳しく観察した。内部が撥水であっても、内壁の凹凸によって水のメニスカスは親水化された場合と同じような形状を取ることなどの新しい知見が得られた。また、イオン液体のナノチューブ内部への充填現象についても環境制御型走査電子顕微鏡等を用いた実験を行って物理機構を考察することができた。
