Outline of Final Research Achievements

We conducted comparative educational research on teacher education for international Baccalaureate. Japan already has plenty experience and knowledge on teacher education. The purpose of this research was how marge IB education and Japanese education on teacher education and contribute to develop Japanese IB education in Japan. As a result, we set the teacher education research framework for international Baccalaureate to measure the quality of IB education, which could evaluate IB education and reflect on IB practice.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の研究成果は「DPを教える教員を如何に養成するか」という、カリキュラム研究の側面と「輩出した教員が如何に学校現場でグローバル人材の育成に貢献しているか」というIBに対応する教員養成の成果に関する実証研究の側面を有した。また、研究過程を通じてIBの教員養成研究フレームワークの構築に寄与するとともに、実践的にも「日本版IB教育の創生」に貢献した。
