Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,申請者がこれまで開発・蓄積してきた様々なタイプの同期アルゴリズムをベースとしてそれらを拡張し,様々な非正則計算環境下でも動作する全く新しいタイプの同期アルゴリズムを開発し,Natural Computing環境,非正則超細粒度並列計算機構への応用を目指すものである.最終年度は,FSSPアルゴリズムを再帰呼び出しの観点からuniform/non-uniform型に分類し,世界で最初に考案されたFSSP algorithmをnon-uniform recursion typeとして再構築するとともに,164-state, 4375-ruleのCA上に実現する.複数個の故障セル領域を有する非正則CA上に線形時間で動作する6状態2次元CAを構成し,故障パターンの特徴づけを試みる.これらはACRI2018で発表された.最後に,最小状態・最適時間で動作する4状態FSSP解のクラスを示し,国際会議ICTAC 2018にて発表する.関連研究として実時間数列生成のアルゴリズムに関する研究も行い,論文としてまとめる.研究期間全体を通じてえられた研究成果は,4冊のBook Chapterとして,さらに14編の論文執筆・査読付き国際会議で研究発表を行うとともに,議事録として出版されている.2016年から2018年の3年間に,3回のInternational Workshop for Applications and Foundations of Cellular Automata: AFCA2016, 2017, 2018国際会議を開催し,関連分野の振興に努めた.海外の複数大学とも連携し,セルオートマトンに関連する共同研究を実施した.今後本研究で得られた成果をとりまとめ,出版する予定である.
