Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The qualitative elements of speech are collectively called prosody. Prosody abnormalities are observed in the speech of children with autistic spectrum disorder. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to use speech synthesis technology to quantitatively characterize prosody abnormalities in children with autism spectrum disorder. The outcome of this study is to quantify some of the prosody abnormalities of speech in children with autism spectrum disorder. The results of this study were published in an international journal. This suggests that accumulating the methods and techniques that this research has been working on may lead to the development of ultra-early diagnostic tools for children with autism spectrum disorders based on prosody abnormalities.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
