Outline of Final Research Achievements

The contents of “Wakan Roeishu” may differ depending on the book from which it was transcribed. The reason is thought to be that there was a low level of awareness to copy accurately. There are many examples of not only misspelling but also intentional alterations.
The “Wakan Roeishu” was not copied verbatim as a completed work, but was passed down through the generations, being rewritten according to its intended use.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

『和漢朗詠集』は、平安時代に書写された完本が複数あり、本文の状況としては恵まれているため、後世の写本については「朗詠江注」などの注釈については検討されているものの、本文そのものについてはあまり注目されてこなかった。写本は忠実に写されるものと考えがちであるが、豊富な写本が伝わる『和漢朗詠集』の諸本を検討すると、書写の方法や和歌の用字などさまざまな工夫が凝らされ、ただ書き写すだけではなく、書写者それぞれの目的に合わせた写本が作られていた様子が読み取れる。作品が書写され、受け継がれていく享受のありようの一端を示した。
