Outline of Final Research Achievements

The goal of this research project is to develop language resources based on the indications for communicative competence described in “Foreign Language Curriculum Guidelines: A Proposal from Chinese and Korean Language Teachers” (The Japan Forum, 2012). This language resource is not just a sentence pattern list. This resource provides the following contents: 1) target situations of language use based on indications for communicative competence, 2) communicative tasks in each target situation, 3) discourse types of expected utterances in these tasks, 4) strategic language use, 5) pragmatic language practices, 6) sociolinguistic perspectives.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

われわれの言語資源は単なる文型リストではない。言語使用の目標となる状況、遂行すべきタスク、談話類型（儀礼的発話なのか、構造化不要のリストアップ的発話なのか、実質的行動のための先行連鎖なのか……）に関する情報、そして、目標状況で必要となる方略的言語使用・語用論的慣習・社会言語学的観点についても、場面、目的、相手との関係に言及して情報を提供している。これによって、コミュニケーション能力の育成を目標とする中国語教育における出発点から到着点に至るまでの道筋（＝言語形式から出発して現実的な言語運用に至る道筋）に必要な、豊富な情報を含んだ資源を、中国語教育従事者に提供できるはずである。
