Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Despite the continued effects of the extended Covid-19 lockdown and implementation of emergency remote teaching for the principal investigator and project’s participating teachers, progress continued and the most critical goals for the project were completed in this final extension year. First, two additional participating teachers completed the analysis of their data and published their findings and two more indicated progress towards a published manuscript. Next, a final summary of findings from the project were shared at in person international conference that took place in Japan. This included a meta-analysis of the results of the participating teachers’ research. Finally, a procedures guide based on the classroom study from the project was finalized and made available for languages teachers to download. This guide allows teachers looking to build their knowledge of classroom-based quantitative methods through independent study. This procedures guide was introduced at the international conference to an audience of 34 people. The guide will continue to be available for any teachers interested in the study. Although this is the final year of the grant, it is anticipated that some teachers will continue to finalize their results and publish studies based on their research. It is likely an updated meta-analysis will be conducted to include all the data produced by the participating teachers.
