Outline of Final Research Achievements

For elementary school English, I have developed an educational application that works on Android OS (tablet and smartphone) as well as that for iOS (iPad). Also, I have scrutinized the educational materials used in English classes of elementary schools and junior high schools, and pointed out a number of problems. Some portion of the research has been shown in my book on English vocabulary published in 2018.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

開発したアプリはそのままでも小学生の英語学習に有効であるが、今後、学校現場で利用される教科書などにあわせてコンテンツを制作すれば、その部分だけ追加あるいは入れ替えができるプログラムになっているので、今後も継続して改良など行って安価にアプリ開発をしていくことができる。また、中学レベルの語彙に関する知見は特に小学校英語において資質が問われる指導者向けに有益な情報となる。
