Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
One paper was submitted to an international journal and has been tentatively accepted. It regards language use by Japanese Primary Teachers in English Classes. In addition, the data for the three years of reading and writing tests have been reported to the relevant School Board.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
Most of the work this year will be analysis and writing. Using video recordings and transcriptions I will analyze my data from various perspectives such as teaching strategies, and how teachers design lessons to meet the three main goals of instruction:.

Causes of Carryover |
I will use most of the money for travel for the purposes of presentation. Some monies will be used for travel to gather data.
