アメリカでトランプ大統領が誕生することで、ヨーロッパを中心にポピュリズム現象が広がった。そのなかで、ＥＵ統合の行方や移民・難民、イスラムとテロなどの問題と関連して、フランスの「国民戦線」についての多面的な分析と考察を提供することができた。特に、２０１７年の大統領選挙をめぐって、メディアや研究者などの知的ニーズに応えることができた。
