Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Thus year I made seven research presentations to publicize research findings from this project, in both Tokyo and Brussels. I also visited Thailand to conduct interviews and work on future publications. In January I invited Nishkan Usayapant, an NGO expert from Thailand, to participate in a research workshop in Tokyo, and also to give lectures to my research students. Nishkan will be co-author of two journal articles currently at an advanced stage of preparation for submission to leading EU Studies journals. This year I also secured a contract to publish a research monograph in the Routledge Globalization, Europe, Multilateralism (GEM) Series. This book will be on EU norm diffusion and contestation in the Asia-Pacific, and will draw directly on research I carried out with this JSPS grant.
