| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the fiscal year 2016-17, my research work can summarized into the following points:
I have completed a book chapter, “Taking Corporate Social Responsibility as Growth Strategy”, which is included into the book, Corporate Strategy and Planning” (ISBN: 978-953-51-5476-1), Edited by Prof. Lawrence Emeagwali, expected to publish in August 2017.
I have another joint research paper with Chung Yuan Fu and Shirley J. Ho, titled “Positive or Negative Framing in Releasing Earnings Forecasts,” currently under review of Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
I am nearly completing the following paper and expect to submit it to journals for review this year:
A joint research paper with Prof. Ji, Shangzhou, titled “Political Connections, Government Regulations, Risk-Taking of Companies - Evidence from China”, China Economic Journal, under review.
In addition, this year I plan to travel to both China, Korea, and Taiwan to collect the following data: 1) data of corporate social responsibility index (CSRI); 2) data regarding corporate social responsibility reporting of publicly listed companies in the above Asian countries.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
After the preceding paper is submitted, I plan to study the relationship between globalization and corporate governance/corporate social responsibility. The preliminary study is conducted and summarized as follows: For globalization and social responsibility, corporations are subject to legislation and standards from foreign governments, international community, and international institutions. This study aims to explore the effect of globalization on the corporations’ governance and social responsibility with empirical data under the test of panel data analysis.
