最終年度は研究総括と成果の社会還元のため国際学会での報告を積極的に行った。2018年6月に国際学会GERPISAの26th International Colloquium of Gerpisa(Sao Paulo,Brazil)において“Development of Southeast Asian motorcycle industry and contribution of Japanese firms"という口頭報告を行った。東南アジアは本研究で新興国の戦略形成プロセスの比較の視座となるエリアであり、日本企業の戦略と行動について考察を深めることができた。あわせてブラジル二輪車産業の実態調査も行い、本社から離れマネジメントが難しい新興国における創発的な戦略のありようについて知見を得た。このほか、5月にはEdinburgh-Kobe Dialogue on the Economic Development in South Asia(Edinburgh,UK)において“The Source of Competitive Advantage of Indian Motorcycle Industry”という題目、10月にはPOMS 2018 International Conference(Granada,Spain)で"Management of MNEs on Overseas Subsidiaries and Innovation; Case of the Brazilian Motorcycle Industry"という題目で報告を行った。インド、ブラジルという異なる、しかし、重要な新興国を事例にしながら、日本企業の新興国での行動と戦略、その背景にある国際的な意思決定のありよう、戦略形成プロセスを議論した。現在これら報告、調査を踏まえながら英語論文を執筆している。
